Our CULTURE.

  • We solve problems.

Often our best ideas come from customer frustrations. Our close working relationships help us to understand the problem early, which allows us to develop technology and provide a solution.

  • CONSTANT INNOVATION.

From initial concepts to white board drawings and research, we are continuously discussing new ideas and improvements to what we are currently doing. Our willingness to fail allows us to develop new technology faster and discover what works. The feeling of a win after a new idea or technology works is a lot of fun!

A NAME INTEGRAL TO OUR IDENTITY

No matter what you are building or creating, it takes time. Our community, technology and experience with diagnostics wouldn’t exist without time...and without time and a strong foundation, you can’t Patina.

We define Patina as the value that age puts on an object.

The object must have a strong foundation to endure the years and conditions. The object ends up better than it was new with a perspective only time can add. Patina is the experience and maturity that makes an antique antique.

founders

  • As a founder and leader of Patina Energy, I serve as the conduit between customer ideas and new technology. I am also a major contributor to bringing them to life. Jeff and I collaborate to create something better than either one of us could on our own. I then establish the action plan and lead the team in making it happen.

My decision to become a mechanical engineer stemmed from my appreciation of how things work and the satisfaction I gain when I improve functionality. As a child my mother used to get upset with me, always taking things apart. Then she realized that I was often able to put them back together, sometimes even making them better or fixing items that were broken. The oilfield has been an exciting place to work for the past two decades. Being a part of the technological advances and massive increases in efficiency and cost reduction has been incredible. I have had the opportunity to work in operations, business development, business management and even human resources. Along the way I have taken opportunities to learn at every point and even built some businesses on the side. I have worked for organizations that are customer centric and constantly delivered for the customer and some that struggled to get out of their own way and change for customer and market needs.

Patina Energy is the culmination of this experience and the entrepreneurial drive that I have. We are focused on the customer and creating solutions that work! It has been a lot of fun building and growing the business so far and I look forward to many years of excitement! Most days you can find me working directly with customers, keeping Patina running, and figuring out how to keep having fun along the way.

  • As a founder and manager of Patina Energy, I collaborate with our customers, my teammates and partner, and our suppliers to turn ideas into commercial technologies. I'm resourceful and persistent and I find the things that we need to create something. I keep ideas burning in the background and match them with opportunities as they arise. I like to take my time when responding or giving an answer. It gives me the ability to think about it for a while. If you ask me a question you might not get my formulated response until I am ready to talk about it the next day.

Throughout my career I've been fortunate to work all over the US in the oil and gas business and travel the world as a leader of an international division. I've studied business earning my MBA and gained experience working at both large and small companies. As a kid I always wanted to create my own company and it's a lot of fun doing that at Patina with Jason and our team.

We have a saying that a week at Patina is like six months in the regular world. When you are constantly learning, trying new things, failing, and making breakthroughs, time goes both fast and slow. I'm excited for our customers to experience our newest upgrades and the next thing we create. Most days you will find me exploring new ideas or working with our team to make a current process better.

OUR TEAM.

The team we have built at Patina is made up of individuals who add their own special piece to the puzzle. They all have different strengths and together come up with some incredible solutions. Each team member is critical. Together, we are able to deliver new ideas quickly and provide for our customers daily needs. We could not do it without them!
